How It Began

Hello Everyone,
I am a new blogger and I am very excited-I am always being "encouraged" to write and when I say "encouraged" I mean someone very close to me repeatedly saying, "Why don't you ever write anymore!!!!!!" so I thought why not start a blog. My blog will be about fashion. I know what you're thinking...that's boring-it's been done before-frankly I don't give a rats behind. Because I know fashion and I know it better than a lot of people. I am not trying to be pompous but I have been a fashion obsessor since the age of 2-it all started when I so eagerly tried on a pair of my mother's high heels and basically sunk into them like a worm into an apple. Ever since fashion has been a huge part of my life-we are so close sometimes I wish I could buy it a Christmas present. Anyway, a warning to the hopefully many people reading my blog-until I get to know my audience a little bit better I will not be allowing comments-the last thing I need "write" now-:) is someone who feels the need to type hate comments to me so be patient...I'll get there. Now, for the fun part-my actual fashion blog begins now...

Hello again,
So this is the part where I teach you everything I know. I am now wearing my faux glasses-pretending to be Julie Powell-I am not. Of course after my extreme internet surfing I have found incredible websites with authentic designers handbags and such but that will always remain my little secret. I want to explain something to everyone. Fashion is not always about what is IN or OUT but it is also not whatever you feel comfortable in or is YOUR style. I'm sorry but if your style is 1950s floral skirts down to your ankles then it is definitely not fashionable. Sometimes fashion is affordable and sometimes it isn't. But the bottom line is fashionable clothing is....presentable. And I don't mean a blouse from Strawberry's and a pencil skirt. I mean an outfit that the only bad comment you will hear from a person is that is was "daring". And by daring I don't mean you should dress like Marilyn Manson...bleh. Bottom line and then I will stop. FASHION IS CLEVER-it's YOUR job to make it....."presentable".
